Meet Chari 💕🐾

Chari is a delightfully chunky, extra-sweet girl who came into care as a stray - and now she's ready to find a cozy forever home to call her own. While she can be a little shy at first, once she feels safe, she turns into an absolute smooch machine who lives for chin scratches and gentle affection.

Because the world can feel a bit big and overwhelming to her, Chari would love to start out in a small "launch room" where she can settle in at her own pace before exploring the rest of the house. Large open spaces can make her nervous, so having lots of safe spots - cardboard boxes, cat igloos, scratch posts, cat trees, and access to shelves or dressers (she appreciates both high-up perches and cozy low hideaways!) - will help her feel secure and confident.

Chari's dream adopter is someone patient and understanding who knows that shy girls just need a little time to show their sparkle. She may be timid at first, but give her space, move at her pace, and you'll discover the loving, affectionate sweetheart underneath.

She'd do best with teens or older children who understand basic cat body language and know when to give her a little breathing room. She hasn't been tested with other cats yet, but she may be okay in a home with a calm, social dog as long as introductions are slow and interactions are monitored.
